The moment anyone think of Krishna,
immediately Radha comes to the mind. Krishna's had eight wives but none of
them comes to our mind. Their names are also not popular but only Radha's
because of her
"Un-Conditional
Love".
If we cannot grasp the concept of "unconditional Love" , it is easy to mis-understand
Radhakrishna's love as illegitimate affair.
"Love" is "Un-Conditional" and is opposed by Ego, which seeks only
conditional relation. In Romantic "Love" there are no conditions, a person
is accepted as the person is. This is real
"Love". Rest of the love,
that we think as love is not love, it is only a "business" relationship. We
get something for paying for it. A husband and wife in Romantic love,
accepts the person as he or she is and looks beyond the body and mind and
transcends to the pure Awareness state. In such a state the "Love making"
they enjoy is also blissful. In Bharath,
"Radha and Krishna"
is considered as the model of un-conditional Romantic
Love.
Radha
was just soaked in un-conditional love, that she did not even ask Krishna to
marry her and take to his place. Krishna had eight wives and it was easy to
have Radha as one more wife. But Radha's love is unconditional
that it was beyond space (his form) and time (be with him). There are
several stories in Bhagavatham elaborating her Unconditional love.
Marriage
is a phase in life to practice and experience Un-Conditional Love.
Only in unconditional love, can the couple unite to divinity which means to
Consciousness state.
If one wants to understand the deepest meaning for transcending
"Conditions" for God-realization is because ,
Consciousness is Unconditional, and
we exists as Awareness which is nothing but un-conditional Consciousness
conditioned in space and time.
Through conditional love we experience short transient happiness and through
Unconditional love one experience eternal "Bliss" , this is what is
symbolized as Radha-Krishna.
This is what Radha achieved in her life and
with that she has become immortal golden words in the Book of Love. We
celebrate the symbolism of their love as the colorful Holi festival.
