Does God Exists?
The word "God" has a totally
different understanding in Vedic Tradition from all the religious
traditions of the world. In Vedic Tradition there is no "God" in a
"form" creating and controlling the Universe. The 1000's of Gods in
Vedic Tradition are Symbolic of the Cosmic Laws of Nature.
Interestingly this clear understanding makes Vedic Tradition as
"Spiritual" and not a religious "Theism". By denying existence
of a "Form" God, Vedic tradition is also not "Atheism". Vedic
Tradition is a Spiritual Science with no
Founder.,
like any other disciplines of Science. Nevertheless Vedic Spiritual
Science is complete improving the quality of all walks of life.
According to Vedic tradition, there is no "God"
(a person) sitting in the skies and creating and controlling everyone and
everything. There is no creation of this universe but only manifestation.
If it is a creation, then there is a creator who is different from the raw
material he or she uses and also different from the created end-product and also
there is purpose for it. Then endless questions appear like where did
the raw material come from for the creator to create the universe etc.
According to Vedic Science , there is only
"Manifestation", which means that the creator, creating material and the end
product of creation are all one and the same. That "oneness" non-duality is
the core of Vedic tradition and not only do not contradict with any "Truth"
seen in other religious/spiritual traditions but also in tune with the
discoveries of Modern science.
Since the "One" is manifested in the
universe as several with a unique phenomenon, there is that common
fundamental aspect reflected in everything. Only by understanding this fact,
one can understand the core theme of all branches of Vedic sciences. Whether
it is a dance or a ritual or medical science of Vedic science, all reflect
this one fundamental Truth in it. The "One" that Vedic tradition talks about
is the Pure
Consciousness.
God: A Clear
Understanding: It is very clear that in Vedic tradition God
represents pure
Consciousness,
which manifest as this Universe. Since everything is a manifestation of the
"one", Vedic Tradition alone gives the correct reasoning behind the
definitions of "Omnipresent, Omniscient" etc because in everything there is
the essence or core of the "One". Thus in Vedic tradition
How to Know God?: It
is very simple and straight according to Vedic Tradition. How easy
to know God depends on the effort one puts in knowing God. We have
emphasized that only through inquiry one Understand the Truth of
God. But that will only b e an intellectual understand, but to one
to experience it, one has to inculcate that understanding in one's
life. Living life in that understanding, one experiences God and
that is the freedom one gets from everything, one returns to the
original Consciousness, which is Moksha.
